Hope Reichbach was born, raised, and now lives in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn. The daughter of Gustin Reichbach and Ellen Meyers, she was raised in a politically aware and progressive household. Hope became involved in progressive causes and community organizing at a very early age. When she was a senior at Hunter College High School, she brought a suit against then Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld for illegal military recruitment tactics.
Hope has volunteered for many local grassroots political campaigns. Most recently, she helped work to elect Councilmember Stephen Levin. Hope is currently on Councilmember Levin’s staff.

As staff member to Councilmember Levin, Hope has learned the importance of local politics and the value of strong local leaders. Hope seeks to bring her experience and skills to the Brooklyn Democratic Party by becoming the 52nd Assembly District’s next Female District Leader.
